Colonel Chris Bartos grew up in a military family and has resided at multiple locations throughout the world. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Infantry in 1998 from ROTC and transferred to the Ordnance Corps in 2001. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University at Daytona Beach, a Masters of Military Operational Art and Science from Air University at Maxwell Air Force Base, and a Masters of Strategic Studies from The Army War College. His military education includes Infantry Officer Basic Course, Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, Combined Arms and Services Staff School, Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Air Command and Staff College, Army Logistics University, The Joint and Combined Warfighting School, and Senior Service College.

COL Bartos has deployed once to Korea, twice to Iraq in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn, once to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom, and once to Kuwait in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.
COL Bartos’ awards and decorations include multiple medals and service ribbons. Additionally, he has earned the Expert Infantrymen Badge, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Master Badge, Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, and Air Assault Badge.
