DEFENDERS! Welcome to the 20th CBRNE Command in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Our Command Chaplain Section (CS) is here to serve you, and your families. We want to encourage and enable your progress wherever you are on your spiritual journey. In concert with the Garrison Religious Support Office, the CS provides multi-faceted support to meet your spiritual and religious needs.

Together, we strive to provide vibrant worship services, transformative religious education, and excellent resiliency classes. If you are looking for a particular faith group or spiritual practice, our CS is ready and able to provide information about our ministry opportunities, on and off post. Sometimes life gets challenging, and you need a safe place to go for a listening ear. The chaplain provides counseling with absolute confidentiality enabling you to manage job stress, relationship issues, parenting issues, or other concerns. They also assist with questions about religious or spiritual practices.

Each of our Brigade and Battalion Unit Ministry Teams in dispersed installations offers a variety of opportunities to strengthen your relationship or marriage and help you grow in your spiritual journey. Get to know your CA and Unit Ministry Team and experience new levels of personal growth while assigned to APG or any other 20th CBRNE Unit.

Building Strong & Ready Teams (BSRT) Events provide relationship enhancement training for 20th CBRNE Singles, Couples, and Families.

Our 20th CBRNE Religious Support Mission is constantly exploring and improving its capacity to lead Religious Support (RS) effectively. For instance, the CS assist commanders in ensuring Soldiers’ right to express their free exercise of religion.

- Develop Strong Leaders through premier and creative moral and ethical leadership training.
- Synchronize all unit and garrison RS through effective task organization and employing Army systems.
- Invest in current and future RS through tenacious budget planning and infrastructure improvement.
- Grow Strong Religious Communities through ecumenical partnership.
