Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosives (CBRNE) Analytical and Remediation Activity
 
Background: An all-Army civilian organization, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosives Analytical and Remediation Activity (CARA) is part of the 20th CBRNE Command, the U.S. military’s premier all hazards formation. CARA conducts recovery of U.S. chemical munitions, technical escort of surety material (air and ground), and remediation of former chemical weapons burial sites.  
Mission: On order, CARA deploys and conducts operations in support of Combatant
Commanders or other government agencies in order to counter CBRNE and WMD
threats in support of National Countering WMD objectives.
